Spoiltbytes: Actseed.co new project

If you have been following me lately on instagram (@spoiltbytes) you probably would have notice me writing up some quotes and posting them up. I really enjoyed doing them and I also notice a couple designers who are doing it on their social media as well. And sometimes I really wanted to screenshot the design and save it as my wallpaper but it’s just too low res. I end up doing it myself. I was thinking if I’m thinking this way I’m sure out there somewhere there might be someone like me too. Someone who wants to just screenshot all these design and print them out as reference or just to save as mobile wallpaper for aesthetic purposes.

So they are all available over on www.actseed.co currently, I will also be engaging different designers to come onboard to share their awesome designs of the quotes that really inspire them!

Anyway other than just giving it free to the public, I was thinking why not I charge for the high res printable A4 files… for a tiny fee of SGD 2.99. I mean like it is really a small sum to print all these pretty things for inspiration to stick around my studio to inspire me.

And I happen to read about pencilsofpromise.org who believe every child should have access to quality education. They create schools, programs and global communities around the common goal of education for all.

I’m blessed that I have parents who paid for my studies and allow me to venture my passion for design, so I want to not only open this for free downloads for mobile, but also all proceeds from the prints go to pencilsofpromise.org to build a school and we are aiming for USD 25000 to make this happen.

And if you are wondering how am I going to do that? I’ve already enquired about building the school and this is what one of their staff (Brittany Sebade) replied me:

It costs $25,000 to build a school with PoP. We build our schools in Ghana, Guatemala, and Laos. When $25,000 is fundraised, we invite the fundraiser to join PoP on a school builds trip to see the progress of one of our schools. In addition, the school you fundraise will receive a plaque with your name and you will receive updates on the progress of the school. Each school takes a different amount of time to build. We partner with the local government in Ghana, Guatemala, and Laos to identify communities with educational infrastructure needs and then hire local construction teams for our school builds.

So yea! Would love to see this happen hopefully by the end of this year or if you guys can help me spread it. Eventually I would create a campaign page at pencilsofpromise.org and update the sums I got from actseed.co onto there. This is not something that I can do alone, USD25000 is not a small amount.
