Where is my letter of recommendation?

I have been on LinkedIn almost everyday, sometimes out of no where I would send a nudge to my friends for a letter of recommendation... You know like see what amazing stuff they can say about me yeah?

But so what if they write good stuff, it will kinda of have the 5 seconds feel good moment and then you are back to square one.

The only letter of recommendation we need is you yourselves. Your lives are a letter written in our hearts; everyone can read it and recognize our good work among you. (2 Corinthians 3:2 NLT)

But God teaches otherwise, it's not about how good I can be, but more of how good God.

Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts. (2 Corinthians 3:3 NLT)

So what if I can have tons of recommendation letters saying how good am I, open more job opportunities doors? Or more pay?

It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. (2 Corinthians 3:5 NLT)

I rather none. I'm not saying that recommendation letters are bad, and if someone wrote it for you without you pestering the person, kudos to you. I'm guilty of sending random nudge to friends to write for me.

But now I know.. If God opens an opportunity path in you career, no one AND I SAY AGAIN NO ONE can close it on you other than yourself. So who needs recommendation letter when you have God?

We can make our plans,
but the LORD determines our steps. (Proverbs 16:9 NLT)

XOXO,
YH
