From the verses the spiritual gifts are:
1) Word of Wisdom
God gives Christians with a supernatural understanding of God's Word and applying it to life situations.
But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. (James 3:17 NLT)
2) Word of Knowledge
God gives Christians the supernatural ability to understand God's Word and to effectively communicate it to others.
3) Faith
God provides Christians with great confidence to believe and expect great things from God.
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. (Romans 5:1 NLT)
4) Gifts of Healing
God uses Christians to restore physically, mentally and emotionally.
5) Working of Miracles
God empowers Christians to perform events that no other than God could do it.
6) Prophecy
God empowers Christians to receive revelation of events in the future.
In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. (Romans 12:6 NLT)
7) Discerning of Spirits
God empowers Christian to be know if the message is from God.
Yes, my lord the king will give us peace of mind again.’ I know that you are like an angel of God in discerning good from evil. May the LORD your God be with you.” (2 Samuel 14:17 NLT)
8) Gift of Tongues
God allows a Christian to supernaturally speak a previously unknown language.
And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability. (Acts 2:4 NLT)
9) Interpretation of Tongues
God gives Christians the ability to clarify and interpret messages uttered in an unknown language.
The purpose of these gifts is to glorify God. However, if knowing our spiritual gifts doesn't mean that we cannot serve God out of our areas of gifting. It's good to know what God has given us but yet our focus shouldn't be on that.
At the end of it, it's all from God for god, none of it is from us.
Thank you Lord for the gifts.
